Raw materials and their connection to Workshops.. Discussion. I thought it would be helpful to compile a list of raw materials Villages can produce and how those base components are used by available Workshops to produce output. There's some unknowns, like Butter, Fur, Cheese, etc where do they come from?

I made a wool workshop in a city where two of the three villages produced sheep - it was operating at a loss of 600-ish for at least 2-3 weeks, and now (with the removal of the workshop profit cap) it's making 800-2400 a day. Alright, I will try to be more patient.
As is currently (1.1.x 1.2.x) are Caravans better than Workshops? Caravans are better early game workshops are better late game. Once you have high level companions you can do late game caravans again (mid game though your companions aren't skilled enough to dodge lots of war parties so if you have kingdoms at war they can get captured easily
No, you need to talk to people named "shop worker" or something like that. Named mechants are for caravans :) elandman1 • 3 yr. ago. What he says, u need to go in to the town and find the shop workers, then u can buy it. There is a limit of 3 i believe, but if u have city for yourself u can have more. PatchPixel.

The best workshops are going to be in the most prosperous towns with the most bound settlements. And that Workshop is going to be the one that makes sense for that location. Here are some Examples:
